Our main contribution to the OCRA Summer holiday activities programme was a palpable hit despite the return of the heatwave.
Keeping cool inside the College gym – a manageable 21 degrees – the first half archery session with sharps saw some sharp shooting and even some good groupings of arrows by the end.
The second half session of foil fencing with steel was more challenging in full fencing kit, but after an intensive set of lessons, the final round-robin circle of fencing proved an entertaining end to the afternoon and a well-earned retreat to afternoon tea. The OCRA holiday scheme continues to the 29th August.
